Volivoli Beach Resort has received regular nominations for the DIVE Travel Awards, winning a well-deserved Top Three placing in 2020, having previously awarded the accolade of Fiji’s Most Outstanding Dive Operator of 2016. One of Fiji’s longest-running scuba diving establishments, Volivoli Beach Resort originally began life as a backpacker-style guest house for the dive centre, but after being severely damaged by Cyclone Winston in 2016, was rebuilt as a luxury boutique eco-resort from which divers can explore the Bligh Water – known locally as the Vatu-I-Ra Passage – a marine protected area famous for the abundance and diversity of its marine life.
