HEED 3 (Gen 2) manufactured by Submersible Systems is a compact, lightweight and reliable Category A self contained breathing apparatus. HEED 3 is designed to increase the survivability of military and commercial personnel in case of an unintended submersion in water. Born out of a need to provide the US Navy Helicopter pilots with a small, handheld breathing device the Heed 3 has been saving lives since 1979. Ideal for all helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, float planes, watercraft and vehicles that operate around possible water emergencies. Please note this is for emergency egress only, NOT scuba diving or freediving.
Heed 3 has the smallest footprint of any EBS on the market.
Improvements over the HEED 3 Gen. 1 hose model (175 series) are:
- Redesigned 1st and 2nd stage regulator with our custom design
- 1 lb. lighter
- 2nd stage is smaller and more compact
- 2 cu. ft. cylinder (6 more breaths) at only ½” longer
